We carried out the research in 2018–2019 Western Ciscaucasia on leached chernozem, low-humus, extra-heavy, heavy-loamy to study possibility of cultivation new sunflower genotypes with a compact habitus at high plant density (80 000, 100 000 and 120 plants/ha) row width 35 cm. chose hybrids breeding V.S. Pustovoit All-Russian Research Institute Oil Crops normal (Triumph Berkut) erectoid er-2, Triumph Er-3, Berkut Er-3) leaf position as an object research. The lodging capacity еr-2 (30.2%) Еr-3 (10.9%) suggests potential yield losses due non-threshing heads during combine harvesting. highest productivity oil content seeds was obtained 80 plants/ha. densification sowings plants/ha led decrease traits structure productivity. limited resources environment do not allow achieving both product quality exceeding plants is determining factor development density.
